Scene Generation & Text Generation​

API Key Errors​

  • Verify that the key hasn't been deleted from OpenRouter and hasn't expired.
  • If manually configured, confirm you copied the API key correctly from OpenRouter.
  • You can update it anytime from the Settings screen (accessed via the gear icon settings button).
  • Check that the BaseURL specified for the model doesn't point to a different provider than the API key.

Model Specification Errors​

  • On OpenRouter, model availability isn't permanent—models can be deprecated. If so, specify a different model.

Cannot Use Providers Other Than OpenRouter​

  • This app uses the OpenAI SDK. Specify an OpenAI SDK-compatible URL for the BaseURL.
  • Connection to all providers claiming compatibility is not guaranteed.
  • Test with the Connection Test button.
    • Even if the test passes, models that don't support response schemas cannot be used. In such cases, the error message AI appears to be confused and returned an invalid response will be displayed.

Blocked by CORS​

  • If the Connection Test button diagnoses a CORS block, a CORS proxy or unblocker is required.
  • Since API keys are passed through, never use public proxies.

429 Errors​

  • A 429 error often occurs when the actual generation provider returns a busy status. Retrying may succeed.

Not Generated in Japanese (or Specified Language)​

  • If the model's reasoning capability is weak, it may output in English because internal prompts are in English.
  • Explicitly stating "Generate in Japanese" or writing setting text in Japanese can help.
  • Some models tend to partially output in Simplified Chinese or English.

Scene Generation & Image Generation​

Cannot Access Local API (A1111, ComfyUI)​

  • Check if extensions like uBlock Origin Lite are filtering the requests.

Want to Access LAN PC's API from Mobile​

  • Basically, a self-signed certificate (self-signed cert) is likely required to use without warnings.
    • Create a certificate and register it on the mobile device.
    • Set up an HTTPS server (reverse proxy) using the certificate.

Theme Settings​

Settings Written in Theme Text Not Reflected in Generation​

  • Check for contradictory instructions.
  • Use developer tools to verify the problematic text is being sent to the API. It may be removed by random prompts or flag text controls.
  • If neither issue applies, it's likely the model's performance limit.

Errors in YAML Front Matter Section​

  • Half-width colons (:) cannot be written as-is. Use correct syntax such as wrapping in double quotes.
  • Use 2 or more spaces for indentation, not tabs.

Story Blocked for Safety Reasons, Empty Response Returned​

  • The theme or choices may violate the AI's safety policies. Try switching to a more permissive model or starting a new game with a different theme.

Generated Text Is Strange (Not Coherent, Far Below Specified Character Count)​

  • Models unsuited for storytelling may fail to follow instructions or return incoherent text.

  • Enter a passphrase in the Passphrase field.
