Backup and Restore

You can back up and restore all game data on the device (excluding API keys and tokens) in bulk to a file or to Google Drive in your Google Account.

A passphrase (password) is required for backup and restore. If the passphrase differs from the one used when creating the backup, the restore will fail.

Backup and Restore via File​

  • Press the Download Backup button to download a backup file with the nsbak extension.
  • Select a backup file in the dialog, then press the Restore from File button to restore the backup contents.

The restore process adds to data already on the device. If there are differences on the same node (such as scene edits or image regeneration), they will be overwritten.

Backup and Restore to Google Drive​

Sign In​

From the Settings Screen · Data Management section, press the sign-in button to sign in to Google. You will be asked to confirm the permissions to grant. Once sign-in is complete, the Backup to Drive button and a list of already saved backup data will be displayed.

Backup​

Press the Backup to Drive button to immediately begin backing up to Google Drive.

Restore​

Press the cloud_download Restore button on the backup list to begin restoring.
